Engaged Buddhism transcends all differences as it is based on total acceptance of things as they are.  Being with what is allows us to experience great compassion for oneself and thus for others.

Suzuki Roshi said, "We're all perfect just as we are...and we could all use a little improvement"....everyone agrees with the second part of this statement ....but do you know we are all perfect? How can we extend great kindness to others if we don't treat ourselves with complete compassion?

Junsei Jana Drakka* offers an opportunity to explore compassion in action through an evening Dharma Talk  and a day long Retreat/Workshop.  We will explore together the practical application of our ancient Buddhist Teachings, combined with modern day methodologies from sources such as  Harm Reduction Training and the insights provided in the latest scientific findings on the effects of meditation.  Jana's teachings are well known for their accessibility and practicality...presented with a Scottish sense of humor!
